All of us are certainly aware of the concerns surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19) and we are taking these potential health concerns seriously as we continue to monitor the situation in the communities we serve.

Whatever the situation evolves into here in the Coastal Bend, we acknowledge and understand that banking will remain a vital necessity for individuals and businesses alike. Although First Community Bank will continue to operate all as usual, we wanted to let you know what precautions we are taking and also to offer some suggestions as it relates to banking.

In-Person Banking

Sometimes face-to-face interaction is preferred, or required. We always work to maintain cleanliness in our various bank locations and offices and realize keeping them clean and sanitized is now more important than ever.

  • In addition to our daily cleaning, we’re increasing the time spent cleaning and sanitizing
  • Employees will frequently, wipe down customer areas of teller line, faucet handles, and other common areas frequently touched by both employees and customers
  • Hand sanitizers are located at teller stations for customer use

We love seeing our customers, but understand if you prefer to avoid crowds and public spaces.  First Community Bank also provides alternatives to in-person banking, always convenient, but even more so now. 


You can always take care of multiple types of transactions, including deposits, withdrawals and loan payments, by utilizing our bank drive-thru, available at each bank location.

As a precaution, we recommend using hand sanitizer before and following use of any drive-thru equipment, pens, etc. used by others.


We now offer new interactive teller machines (ITMs) at most locations, featuring upgraded technology and improved functionality over existing ATMs, including a touchscreen, two-way video option to speak with, in English or Spanish, an FCB teller during bank hours. An ITM enables you to:

  • Speak with a teller
  • Cash checks and make deposits
  • Make cash withdrawals up to $2,500
  • Cash “on-us checks” up to $2,500 (includes noncustomers)
  • Make loan payments
  • Make balance inquiries

The terminal also may be used as a traditional ATM 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Simply insert your Debit Card into the blinking blue slot on the right side of the screen and you will be prompted through your desired ATM transaction.

As a precaution, we recommend using hand sanitizer before and following use of an ITM/ATM.

Online Banking

Sign up for Online Banking and receive your unique ID number to link all of your personal checking and savings accounts, including those of your dependents. And, if you are a sole proprietor, you can also link a business economy checking account with personal account using the same ID number.

  • Online Banking is available 24/7/365
  • Check current balances on personal checking, savings, money market, loans, Certificates of Deposit (CD), and business checking
  • Transfer funds between your checking and savings accounts
  • View up to 180 days of account activity for checking and savings accounts
  • Download posted transaction information to financial management software

As a precaution, we recommend regularly cleaning your laptop or mobile device.
