Support During the Government Shutdown

First Community Bank has served the Texas Gulf Coast for over 40 years, standing with our customers through every challenge. With the government shutdown now affecting federal employees, our Federal Relief Program is here to help ease the financial strain. 

This program provides several forms of support for furloughed federal and military employees:

Paycheck Advance – Advance up to one month’s paycheck, with no fees and no interest. Available to customers with a deposit account open for at least 90 days.

Certificates of Deposit (CDs) – No early withdrawal penalties during the shutdown.

Existing Loan Relief – For customers with existing loans open for at least 90 days, please contact your servicing officer.

You may advance up to the amount of one month’s net pay. 

Are there any fees or interest for Paycheck Advance?
No. The Paycheck Advance has no fees and no interest.

When should I apply for Paycheck Advance?
Contact your servicing officer as soon as you know your paycheck will be delayed due to the shutdown.

How do I apply for Paycheck Advance?
Call your servicing officer directly at (361) 888-9310. They will review your eligibility and walk you through the process. 

How quickly will I receive funds?
Funds are typically available within 48 hours of approval.

Does this affect my credit score?
No. The Federal Relief Program is designed as a relief program and does not impact your credit score.

What if the government shutdown continues longer than one month?
If the shutdown extends beyond a month, you can revisit your options with your servicing officer.

What other relief options are available?
